In a vibrant display of teamwork and purpose, JG Summit Olefins Corporation (JGSOC) and its subsidiary Peak Fuel Corporation (PFC) recently held a dynamic team rally at the petrochemical complex in Batangas City. The event brought together employees from both organizations to celebrate shared values, strengthen collaboration, and embrace a bold vision for the future.
Leadership Vision
The rally opened with a keynote from Mr. Arnel L. Santos, President and CEO of JGSOC, who outlined the organization’s strategic priorities: “Our core priority is clear: Petrochemical Asset Preservation and PEAK Fuel’s Profitable Growth. This will be enabled by Safety Above All Else, Cost Leadership and Cash Maximization, Reimagination, and building a place where people want to be.” Mr. Santos also introduced JGSOC’s new executive and management leadership team, signaling a renewed direction for the company.
Product Innovation
A major highlight was the soft launch of Peak Fuel’s upcoming product, scheduled for release later this year. Mr. Allan O. Acuña, PFC General Manager, proudly recognized the team’s efforts, noting that PFC achieved its highest sales volume since launching in 2021.
Employee Recognition
The event also marked the launch of Hat’s Off 2.0, JGSOC’s enhanced employee recognition program. Rooted in the company’s core values—Safety Above All Else, Entrepreneurial Mindset, Malasakit, and Integrity—the program celebrates exceptional performance and behavior across the organization.

Giving Back: A Heartfelt Challenge
Adding a meaningful twist, Ms. Maria Theresa “Beng” Cortes, JGSOC Chief HR Officer, introduced the day’s highlight: a bicycle assembly challenge. Teams built bicycles that were later donated to students in nearby communities who walk long distances to school.
This activity tested collaboration, strategy, and resilience—culminating in a touching moment when 25 children from local barangays received their bikes onsite. Their joy reminded everyone of the deeper purpose behind the day’s efforts and echoed the inspiring journey of Mr. John Gokongwei, which began with a bicycle.
