On September 20, 2025, JG Summit Olefins Corporation (JGSOC) employees, their families, and our community partners came together for the annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) at Brgy. Simlong, Batangas City. This year’s efforts led to the collection of approximately 270 kilograms of trash, helping restore the beauty and health of our coastal environment.
Now on its 17th year of participation, JGSOC remains a steadfast supporter of the ICC, a global initiative that addresses the growing problem of marine debris across the world’s oceans. Our continued involvement reflects our deep commitment to preserving the pristine ecosystem of Batangas Bay and protecting its rich marine biodiversity.
The annual cleanup activity is part of JGSOC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) umbrella program, Abot Kamay, which encompasses initiatives in education, environmental protection, and community development. Through Abot Kamay, we strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our stakeholders and the communities we serve.
This year’s cleanup was made even more meaningful with the active participation of volunteers from Peak Fuel Corporation and Merbau Corporation, reinforcing the power of collaboration in driving environmental stewardship.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time, energy, and heart to this cause. Your dedication is a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility in sustainability and the enduring spirit of Malasakit that defines the JGSOC community.
