On October 29, JGSOC employees, contractors, community leaders, and volunteers came together in a spirit of collaboration to launch the Project BayAnihan Community Garden—a meaningful partnership between JGSOC and its host community in Barangay Simlong, Batangas City.
The event began with inspiring messages from Mr. Ralph Roy, representing JGSOC’s Community Relations team, and Barangay Captain Rufo Caraig, both of whom emphasized the shared vision of sustainability and community empowerment.
Volunteers planted eight varieties of vegetable seedlings, marking the start of JGSOC’s initiative to promote sustainable food sources, environmental stewardship, and stronger community ties. This activity is more than planting—it’s about sowing unity, livelihood, and shared purpose among employees and neighbors.
Looking ahead, more planting activities are scheduled this December, with the first harvest expected by January 2026.
Project BayAnihan reflects JGSOC’s commitment to corporate social responsibility under the Abot Kamay program, which champions initiatives in education, environmental protection, and community development. Through these efforts, we aim to create a lasting impact for our stakeholders and the communities we serve.
Together, let’s grow a sustainable future.
